What have I gotten myself into?
So, my sis was so kind to offer up her home and backyard for dd's first birthday party this weekend. To thank her for everything, I offered to babysit her two boys, 8 and 4. She just texted asking if maybe we could take them Saturday night at our home for an overnight! Ahhhh! I think this is going to be really fun, but really chaotic. 3 kids in a 2 bedroom apartment from 5pm til 10am the next morning. I guess dh and I are going to get to see what being parents to 3 would be like. I'm excited!
Any advice?

Remember they'll be sleeping for a good portion of that time. 
As the pp said, movies and ice cream are always a hit!

maybe take them to a nearby park before dinner, then dinner, dessert, (maybe "movie night"?) bed, special breakfast the next morning and just let them play :)

plan a fun arts and crafts activity, a movie, snacks, a big breakfast. it'll be over so quick!! theyll have so much fun- its something new and different

Kids love to be outside...maybe go to a park, and play soccer, or kickball or something like that! Wear them out Then maybe go for pizza and ices. It is supposed to be a gorgeous weekend!
Then home and bed!!!!

Take them to the park or Chuck E Cheese first and let them wear themselves out. Then they'll sleep most of the time.

Thanks, girls!!! The boys are very excited to have a sleepover with their baby cousin, Juliet!
I think we'll do the park, then an early dinner, ice cream, games, movie, bed!

My boys are 4 and LOVED this but I think the 8 year old would love this too. Have them bring matchbook cars. get a roll of painters tape and have them help you tape down roads and parking lots on the floor. They will be occupied for a while!
