Cedar Beach alone with 2 kids

Meeting up with a friend next week. I have a 19m old and a 4 year old. I told her I would go, but now I am second guessing myself. I guess I can take them one at a time to put their feet in the water? Trap my 19m old in the stroller , which I have no idea how I am going to get on the sand? I'm not a beach person and have never brought my kids so any advice is appreciated.

Your 4 year old might shock you and be a huge digger.
Mine can both dig for hours.
For the water, our waves are bad, so I have kids in life jackets...I hold onto straps of life jackets..one in each hand.
If surf is calm, park your chair in the water, hold baby and have 4 yr old play right there.
I take mine all the time. Free fun. Get them both a shovel and bucket. Wheel stroller backwards onto beach

The issue I would have with cedar is the distance from the parking to the water. Even with the shuttle it's a PIA.

I take my 3yo twins and almost 15mo to the beach a lot now by myself, but I will only go at 7am when no one is there. Cedar Beach....the water is SOOOO far....it seems like too much of a trek. I go to Robert Moses so we don't have to walk far.

Bring big shovels, lots of snacks and put a bottle of wine in your refrigerator so you can drink it when you get home.

ugh, thanks ladies. I am totally dreading this now. My 19 month old is not an easy kid. Doesn't really sit in one spot and just hang out.

Are you talking about Cedar on the south or north shore?
