loveys/blankies in crib
DD is almost 4 months and has a little lovie/blankie that helps her sleep (when she is in the swing, bouncer and carseat). she is still not STTN so i was thinking having it in her crib to grab and snuggle may help but im really concerned with that bc they say nothing at all in the cribs. at what age did you put stuff like that in the crib with your LO? edit to add dd isnt rolling over yet (only from stomach to back not back to stomach) not sure if that matters

Re: loveys/blankies in crib
I started putting a lovey in Tiny Tots crib when she was able to turn over on her own. I believe she was close to 5 months. It helped her self soothe. At 8 months months I added her glow worm. She's 10 1/2 months and loves to sleep with them both.

not at all crazy. I find grace with her face partially covered from time to time. I just keep an eye on the monitor as she is falling asleep. once she is out, it isn't moving and usually ends up at the other side of the crib or under her

I was very hesitant to put anything in the crib but DS needs to hold something in order to sleep. I finally put a lovey in his crib around 6 months without any issue. Honestly, I should have given it to him earlier.

Re: loveys/blankies in crib
I think I started at 4-5 months. At a year, DD actively searches out her lovey before going to sleep. It's a great part of the routine.

my son is 3 months and we have an aiden and anais security blanket he's allowed to sleep with, it's very thin so if he has it over his face he won't suffocate but if he's not holding anything he just keeps reaching for things to hold and won't sleep at all.

i did it at a young age too. I would go in before I went to bed and either remove it or just put it off to the side.

DS has had a blanket in his crib from a super young age, he has always loved a blanket and now when the light comes in in the morning he pulls his blanket over his head to sleep and block the light out

Re: loveys/blankies in crib
I think you'll know when she's ready. DS plays with a lovey but then puts it over his face and gets scared because it's covering his face! Lol. So he's obviously not ready. But if she can figure out how to pull it off her face, then I think it's fine!

Re: loveys/blankies in crib
We had the glow worm from 3.5 mo when we started the crib. I got those stuffed animal blankets and they liked them but tgen my mom gave them crocheted small blankets so we use them. My one dd gets it at naps only since she covers her face with it. At bedtime she gets an a&a blanket or a burp cloth.
