recommend a potty seat please
DD #2 is going to start potty training pretty soon so I need to get her a potty seat! Any recommendations or do you think I should just pick an inexpensive one that she will like? Potty training DD #1 was TORTURE so I am starting from square one this time!

My ped. always said to get one that goes right on the toilet. We have a munchkin one b/c it had a big splash guard for DS. My mom also got DS a Fisher Price Froggy one which we keep in the back of our mini van. We've used it a lot

I tried a few types and by far my favorite is the one that is a double toilet seat in one (regular seat & tiny seat). They flip up and down and have the soft close so the seat doesn't slam down and make a ton of noise. My DH got them at Home Depot. It replaces your actual toilet seat. The other kind with the characters that you lay on top of your toilet seat ended up trapping urine an stinking up the bathroom. It would also drip urine all over the floor if I didn't shake it out really well and wipe it off. You also need to store it somewhere. It was such a pain in the neck.

thanks folks! DD has already sat on the potty a few times and i just held her so i think the seat that goes right on the toilet will be best. i'll look into the home depot one :)

We have the seat from Home Depot too. It works great!
