So I lost my decent camera....no clue where it went I'm so mad!! Atleast I took most of the pics off....but some I never got. Instead of buying the same decent camera we are finally going to buy a really good one! (And not lose it!!!). Please recommend your camera. Lo is 18 months so one good for indoor and outdoor photos and action shots! The one thing I hated about my old one was the delay in taking photos...ugh! I missed lots of good shots. So something with a fast shutter speed too. If you don't mind.....post how much you paid for it as well. Thanks so much!!

Re: please recommend an awesome camera!

I bought a Nikon D3100 about 18 months ago. Great camera. It cost me over $600. They are running a great deal on it now. The camera and 2 lenses for $499... I use it for my work and for my DS. It is super fast and works great in every occasion...

Cannon t3i (I think there's. newer version). Love it. It's big but so worth it. Takes consecutive pics by just holding the button. No delay.

Re: please recommend an awesome camera!

If you dont want a DSLR camera, and prefer a point and shoot, I highly recommend the Olympus Tough TG-1. I just got it a few months ago, and I love it. It's shockproof and waterproof, so I don't panic when my 3.5yo wants to take pictures too.

The picture quality is fantastic, and it snaps pictures rather quickly.

It's pricey for a point and shoot ($300+), but I don't plan on buying a new camera for a while now that I have this one.

Nikon D5100, love it! Check out sites like 1saleaday, nomorerack, etc... they always have deals. Just make sure you research and make sure it's actually a good deal. Check if it's refurbished or not too.

i would check out the mirrorless cameras - honestly no one wants to lug a DSLR if you don't need too.

I have a Canon Rebel and love it - it's big but lightweight and takes beautiful pictures with zero effort.

It also does video, but I never use that feature
