Terrible Twos
I'm not a frequent poster, but none of my Mommy friends have advice and I'm totally at my breaking point with DD.
She is 26 months old and for the past 3 months or so, has been the epitome of terrible two.
We go to a Music Together Class on Wednesdays and have been going since September, she has always loved the class, sings the words and dances. Lately she tries to leave the class (opens the door) and when I get up to stop her, she SCREAMS bloody murder, throws herself on the ground and ignored me for much of the class. I'll call her name, she pretends she doesn't hear me.
Last week, we went on a farm tour with a group of other Moms, DD wouldn't hold my hand, screamed when I tried to hold her hand, picked up rocks and THREW them at other kids...if I picked her up to carry her away from the group, she would kick me, yell at me to put her down...it was an absolutely miserable experience.
She's also been waking up MISERABLE, which I'm not sure has to do with anything else I've stated here, but she wakes up crying and whining and is inconsolable for sometimes HOURS.
DH and I have recently become a little concerned with her behavior. She has a very very advanced vocabulary, so I never expected her tantrums to get this severe because she really can communicate her needs and wants. I've also always brought her to library programs, music together classes, etc. so socializing is nothing new to her either. I'm scared that because she doesn't acknowledge me that we'll one day be faced with a dangerous situation and I'll be yelling for her and she won't answer me/stop what she's doing...
I'm not sure what kind of advice I'm looking for, other then what would you do in my situation and please tell me this is a phase and will pass! Any advice on disciplining 2 year olds would be greatly appreciated! Thank you if you read this far!

Re: Terrible Twos
THis is exactly what I'm gojng through with my 2yr old DD. she's so out of control I almost don't think it's "normal" terrible 2s behavior. I reached my breaking point last week and had to tell my husband we have to figure out what to do with her. The tantrums over EVERYTHING. She climbs and climbs and climbs. Does not sit still longer than 15secs. She's constantly causing a scene in places. I def can't bring her out to restaurants. Her sleep habits (that at one time were EXCELLENT) are quickly being disturbed. But everyone assures me it's normal. Idk I hope it stops soon. I'm exhausted!
