spinoff to sippy cups
My 11 month old is just not doing it with the playtex grippers. Ive been giving it to her for 2 months now. She chews on the straw and eventually tosses it on the floor. Shes taken a sip here and there over the last 2 minths but nothing consistent where i would say wow she gets it.
Im at my wits end i have no idea what to do. Since she knows ill squirt some in her mouth she waits for it. I dont so it every time.
I give her sippy cup at every meal and snack.
Any suggestions?

Re: spinoff to sippy cups
Did you try another type? My friend's son never took to the Playtex but did much better with the Nuby. She felt the straw was thicker and similar to the latex on the bottle nipple which is why she thinks he took to that one. Sometimes it's just trial and error. Hang in there!

Re: spinoff to sippy cups
I could of written this post myself. My daughter would NEVER use a sippy cup, until about a month ago and she is 15 months old. We tried every single kind out there, you should see my collection, ones with straws, handles, ones that look like bottles etc. The problem I found is a lot of cups are actually hard to get any liquid out of.
Randomly one day, we happened to revisit the Tommee Tippee Explora Lil Sippee and it worked! We pretty much cut her off cold turkey from the bottle once she started drinking from it. We figured if she is really thirsty and has no other option she will do it, and she has. Bottles are gone!
The Tommee Tippee ones are super easy to use, might spill a little but I figured no biggie considering.
Good Luck!!

Re: spinoff to sippy cups
I use this type. It's nice because there is no spout but it does not spill. DS has an easier time with these than spouts. But we have also had an easy time with Tommee Tippee brands.
