TMI, Long and about BF
My DD is 5months old and I'm exclusively breastfeeding. I haven't had a period because of it.
This morning i woke up and I had some red/brown/pink spotting with some mucusy discharge when I wiped. I had to wipe several times to get it all. TMI I know but I need advice
I'm not asking anyone if I'm pregnant...I know you can't tell me. I also know there's always a possibility when you have sex.
I guess I'm just wondering if anyone has been through this before and knows what it might be.
Should I make an appointment with the OBGYN to get check for the post partum bleeding? Should I just take a pregnancy test first?
Has any one had this and it was neither post partum bleeding nor pregnancy? If so what was it?

Could be your period. I got mine 2 mos pp and I've been EBF my LO for 7.5 mos!

It could just be the start of your period..
My period came back at 5.5 mo with all three kids and I breastfed for all their entire 1st year!

Could it be your period starting?
I remember my first PP AF started out as a few days of light spotting etc.
I actually thought it was PP bleeding returning.
Then after a few days of that it was full on AF.
I didn't BF but just thought I'd throw that out as a possibility.

It could just be some staining/spotting. I had that a few times before AF returned at 14mpp.

Probably start of your period. Mine often starts that way. I EBF as well and got my period back at 5 months.

definitely could be AF, I got mine 6 weeks PP and DD was (and still is) EBF.

It is probably your period. Mine started as monthly spotting before returning full force at around 7 months (I was BF).

My OB said that most women do get their periods around the 5 month mark especially if you started solids. I guess the dip in the amount of BF is enough to get ovulation started.
