Anyone else feel this way...
So, today I just had my regular "woman's" checkup. Fun, fun! LOL! My youngest DS will be 2 next month and his older brother just turned 4. I'm blessed with two beautiful boys and I'm pretty sure I'm done, but whenever I have the OB appt I miss going when I was pregnant. Again, don't want to be pregnant again, but I just have the best memories going to my pregnancy exams, hearing his heartbeat or seeing him at the sono, and just knowing he's healthy and growing each visit. I remember waiting in the waiting room with my belly and now when i go i look at the other mommy to be's in awe. Also doesn't help that the hospital I delivered at is sort of down the road from the OB so I get to pass the place I gave birth at.
Funny how when you first go to your OB to start birth control or whatever reason, you see him/her as just a doc that looks at your vajayjay... Ha! Now I see my doctor in a completely different way. I went to my OB first time at 18 to start the pill. Moved away and had different doctors where I went only to move back and go to him and have him deliver my second DS after first meeting him 18 yrs ago as a college girl.

Yes, and I am dreading my next visit because of it. I loved being pregnant and if I was guaranteed a boy I would probably have another, but we are done.

Awe! Every time I see the hospital and on my way to the doctors I just think of when I was pregnant with B. I'm so jealous of the women in the waiting room with their bellies.

I know exactly how you feel...each time I pass the OB office I feel a pang.I am actually thinking of changing to just a GYN office so I dont have to deal with seeing pregnant ladies...I am just not ready to be done even though my body has said I am.

You girls are nuts. I definitely do not feel like that. I had great pregnancies, and I will always miss feeling the baby move inside of me. But apart from that, I have no interest in being pregnant again. And I definitely don't miss waiting a half hour each visit. But maybe, just maybe, you aren't completely done? I know you're not ready for another right now, but maybe another baby is a possibility in a few years?

Yes! I know we are done. 3 kids under 2 is enough for me!!! I have my 6 week pp checkup coming up and it is so bittersweet. It's going to be weird to go back to gyn visits instead of ob ones.

Nope... I'm pretty sure I'm 100 percent done. I feel like that at the doctor's office, but when I get home DH and I put the boys to sleep and then I had a glass of wine and enjoyed it while they slept.

Yes.....I feel like I would love another baby but I don't want another baby with 2 other kids!
It was hard the second time around taking care of a toddler and baby, so it will be that much harder with 2 kids and a baby. Plus the money factor too.

Ughhh yes. Just went through this a few weeks ago and am so happy to hear i'm not the only one. I can home and told my husband and he also shared a little bit of sadness about it. We don't want to be done but I think we have to be... today my DS and DD were awful getting out of the house so it reminds me that 2 is enough for us:)

Ditto that. Every time I go there and see the preggos I think- "better you than me!" I had a relatively uneventful pregnancy but I hated every single second of it. Never again!

I definitely am done but, I kind of feel disappointed as well - when I would go when I was pregnant, the visits were exciting. Now it's just a regular Dr appt...

Re: Anyone else feel this way...
I totally know how you feel! I went for my first annual with my OB recently and on the way there I got a little sad because it reminded me of driving there for my prenatal visits. We're not done yet but we are def not ready any time soon for LO #2 (however if I won the lottery i def would be ready!)

so funny that you posted this because I also had my check up yesterday and had the same emotions you just posted. I was sitting there remembering how excited I was in the room waiting to hear my LO's heartbeat!!

After I had my DD, I had terrible stomach problems and had to keep going for sonograms of my stomach. . . and I would lay down and get ready to look at the screen and realize. . . it wasn't facing me b/c who wants to see a stomach? lol I did get very emotional when that happened! So I completely understand!

Always. And I HATED pregnancy. But the memories of that time are so bittersweet. I wish I could bottle up the way I felt when we were in the hospital after I delivered. That was the most amazing feeling ever !
