Breast pump question

Can anyone recommend either of these breast pumps? Ameda Purely Yours® Electric Breast Pump or the Playtex® Double Electric Breast Pump? (these are the only options I have from my insurance for full coverage). I have a medela instyle pump from last time but since I figured it was covered this time, it would be good to have another in case. Thanks in advance!

The same 2 were covered by mine. I got the Playtex one and it sucks. Definitely would not recommend it. The suction was horrible. I had DH go out and rent me the Medela Symphony (I used this with my twins). It was like night and day.

I am so mad I wasted my free breast pump on the Playtex one. I wish I tried the other one. GL!

Do you mind me asking which insurance you have?

cdphp (i'm upstate)

I still have my medela one from baby #1 so I'm happy with that...I thought I'd get the free one only as a back up or if I need to travel it might be easier. I loved (well as much as you can love a pump Chat Icon ) the medela instyle one!

I used the Ameda for DS until he was 16 months. It worked fine, although it had a ton of parts. At one point I felt that it was not getting as much suction as I had in the past. I called Ameda and they sent the newer version without question. Overall a good experience. DD is due this summer, and I would like to try the Medela to compare, but would be perfectly fine using the Ameda again and will keep it for backup or as a second pump (one at work, one home).

I had the same choices and the woman on phone said go with the ameda purely yours and it succcccckkkkksss. I hate it. I had been using my friends medula but had to give back bc she got preg again.

Her was so much better. I even complained and they did nothing. I wound up with mother milk tea, fenugreek, and crazy pumping sessions so I had to increase my supply at 7mos pp so while at work I could make more. Also it takes so much longer to pumps. 25m instead of 10m.

If I could go back I would have bought my own.
