Just Wee Two

DD will be about 20 months old in September and too young for a 2's program (she doesn't make the cutoff for any of the programs in my area since she is a Dec baby). I am thinking of enrolling her in a just wee 2 class .. but not sure whether it is worthwhile or how it is diff than a "regular" 2's program.
Also, not sure if I should consider the mommy and me class or partial separation class..
Anyone have any experience with this?

I did Just Wee Two when my girls were 25 months , the program has an excellent reputation, however I think the classroom teacher wasn't that great.. She just showed up .. Not really into the class and the TA was a college student that had zero interest in the kids. Overall - I wasn't that impressed. Also, I called the office to advise then of the lack of enthusiasm the class had... And no improvent was made. It's a bit $$ for what you get - IMO.

Re: Just Wee Two

I love Just Wee Two and have gone with all of my children. In fact, right now my 2.5 yr old and I go together. My oldest and youngest started at 24 and 22 months respectively and we stayed the whole school year...September to June; my middle started at 16 months which I felt was too young and then for a variety of reasons, we only stayed one trimester.

Anyway, it is 90 minutes and structured like this:
Free play (play-doh, puzzles, crayons, etc) at the tables before Hello song.
Circle time on the carpet with songs and dances.
Art time...a cute craft. If you are doing a partial separation, the parents leave afterwards.
Free play with all the large toys on the carpet...slide, trains, dollhouse, etc.
Snack and story.
Circle time and Goodbye song.

We always started out as Mommy and Me and then the class switched to partial separation...with my 1st this started at the 3rd trimester; with my 3rd it started at the 2nd trimester.

Anyway, as I said, I love it! I also met three wonderful friends with whom I've stayed in touch for 5 years now (and one of them and I are enrolled together with our youngest ones now!)!
