How long have you breastfed?

Some sessions she can go for over an hour!! And then she still might want more an hour after that! Is this normal?? Dd is 8 days old btw

DD used to nurse for 45-60 minutes! My lactation consultant assured me it was ok to unlatch her around 15-20 min on each side or sooner...when my breasts felt less full and when her sucking slowed. I had to take her off and she would cry but I think she just liked the comfort. Me on the other hand my nips were raw!

Yup this was my dd. I heard it was normal and good for your supply so i let her unless i couldnt taake the pain anymore. She's now 5 weeks and its gotten much better and only does 10-15 mins on each side

Totally normal. The first few weeks you'll feel like all you do is nurse!!
Google cluster feeding--sounds like this is what your LO is doing.

It will get much better!!!!

I posted a very similar question when DS was a couple weeks old. I felt like I would feed him for about 45 minutes and he would want to eat 2 seconds later. It took a couple months for the feedings to get shorter but eventually you'll be able to go longer in between feedings.
