would you convert to a toddler bed?

DD is 33 months old. She will be 3 in August.

She is a petite little girl and is still in a crib.

Her room is tiny so we don't have the option of putting in a twin bed, but we can take one side of the crib off and convert it to a toddler bed.

She sleeps very well by herself until about 4-6AM. At that time she will call for me, and I go and bring her into my bed for a couple of hours until it is time to get up in the morning.

She's never tried to climb out of her crib. If she doesn't go down immediately at night she will sometimes call for me. I go up. Pick her up, kiss her head, and put her right back down and she falls asleep.

I'm afraid if I convert to a toddler bed she will start getting out of bed at night and in the morning.

would you just leave her in her crib if she is happy there?

If she is happy in the crib leave her there unless you think she will stop waking early.

Dd will be 3 tomorrow. We converted her crib a few weeks ago. She does very well with it. She very rarley gets out of bed. At first she would get out get a book and read in bed. Haha. She sleeps all night still and has a little routine in the morning. She gets up turns off her nightlight, turns off sound machine, turns on her room light, them does something I ant see haha I guess gets a toy ten opens her door and waits for me or comes into my room. I thought we would have a huge problem but we don't.

My DD will be 3 next month and is still in the crib.
I like the fact that she can't get out on her own- she has never tried to climb out and I doubt she will- she's too chicken!
My fears in coverting the bed are:
1- it may mess up her sleep cycles- she is very sensitive to change like that
2- she will be getting out of bed when she wakes in the night

I am going to keep her in the crib until at least after 3.
I'm in no rush yet.
Like your DD- she is pretty tiny.

Keep her in there as long as you can.

DS will be 3 in Aug and has never tried to climb out and loves it in there. We are in no rush to switch.

Ok, cool. I really do want to keep her in there. I justed didn't know if it was odd to have a 3 year old still in a crib!

I moved AJ into a toddler bed at 20m. I tried to convert my crib but felt it was too high if she fell off.

It never affected her sleeping. She loved her big bed. she would stay in her bed until we got her.

At 4 we moved her to a full size and she seriously LOVES that one to no end. She has only JUST started to wake up and come to our room. Mostly she just plays in her room. But if she need something at night she'll never leave her room. She'll call to us instead to go to her room. She has even gotten the knack of getting out of bed walking up to her monitor speaking into that to ask for us then go BACK into bed and wait for us!!!

If YOU are happy with her in the crib and so is she than leave her be.

I wanted her out of the crib because I'm short and hated bending over that rail. It would wake her up as we put her down and it annoyed me and her.
