anyone heard of these? i just received a necklace as a gift but not sure if i should keep it or return it.
its not the most fashionable but DD is at the pull hair/necklaces/earrings and put anything in her mouth that she can phase so im thinking maybe i should give it a try

I'm not a fan b/c what if the necklace breaks? Some of those beads are on the small side.
Also, I would rather teach my kid NOT to chew on necklaces at all.

LOL I've seen silicone necklaces in Michaels and wondered why anyone would buy them but I remember now women buying them up for 'babies' but I just thought it was for dress up! how funny!

I would probably have tried it. I mean its a gift, why not give it a whirl. But I do sorta agree with the idea that it teaches them its ok. AJ never wanted to chew on necklaces but I always wear circles or hoop pendants, if not my cross so she likes to touch and feel them. Actually at 4 she STILL loves to play with my hoop on my necklace!

i agree about not teaching them its ok to play with necklaces which was my hesitation. but it seems all kids love necklaces etc and they will always try to grab at them at a young age (i should add dd is only 3 months old)

never gave the bead size any consideration - they are grape sized so that could be a problem but they seem to be attached very well i dont think dd can pull it apart (i just tried to yank it apart myself and they didnt budge)

i read reviews and it seems the biggest complaint is that it pulls your hair...ill have to try it on and then decide.
if i keep them i will be sure to let you know what i think

I have a bracelet and DD loves to chew it! I actually just kept it in my diaper bag since I'm not big on wearing jewelry and it took up no space for something that could keep her happy for a long time.
