Were you still hurting?

I have no incision pain its all in my abdomen on the left side. It feels very bruised. I went to OB a week+ ago and he said it was mormal and he pressed that area a lot which caused more pain.


I also have been still getting a lot of bloat through my abdomen and sometimes up my chest and in my back.

Ive still been taking advil at least 1 time a day.
Its wierd bc ill feel great one day and horrible the next.

With my 1st c/s My recovery was better and i wasnt taking any pain meds for more than a few days.

I am two weeks post c-section. I find that when I over do it I have very similar pain that you've described. It is hard to relax when you have other kids at home. The first time around I just had dd and could sit on the couch all day. Now I have 3 dc and can't do that. It is my right side that hurts the most and my doctor said that side has more scar tissue which is causing the pain plus that fact that this was my 3rd c/s. As for the bloat and gas I have to be very careful with what I eat. The minute I eat something "bad" the gas/bloat comes right back.

I'd say try to take it easy but I know how hard it is. I have to keep reminding myself and dh that I had major abdominal surgery a few weeks ago and cannot be superwoman.

Yes, I was NOT feeling good at all 3 weeks out. I had back pain from the spinal, gas, bloating, trouble taking a good breath, and a lot of abdominal soreness. It took a few weeks to really start feeling normal. All of my post surgery pain and discomfort had really subsided by my 6 week visit. Hang in there, you'll feel better in a few weeks.

Thanks. It def hurts more if i over did it. Ugh i cant wait to be back to normal again congrats to you. Hope you have a quick recovery

I think it is different for everyone. My sis had a harder recovery than I did. My only issue that lingered for a bit was the numbness.

I didn't have pain after the first few days. But I think my sis was more like. GL and take it easy because if you do do too much it will set you back a bit.

It is definitely different for everyone. After being home for a few days I wasn't in much pain at all, I just felt like I was always moving in slow motion and the stairs were a little rough... I am still numb at almost 13 weeks pp and will get this random twinge/pinch feeling...

I was bloated FOREVER and then one day it just seemed to have gone away. At 3 weeks I wouldn't worry, just take it easy (as easy as possible) and you'll feel back to normal in no time!

I had my tubes tied so maybe that is where my additional pain came from but it took WEEKS for me to feel 100%

I was 95% by 7 days but then I had days that were very very painful here and there. Even weeks later. Cafaro said it was likely due to my tubes being tied.
