Photography Pricing Question
It's been almost two years since we took my DS's newborn photos. This may be a VERY silly question (please forgive me!) but one of the photographers stated that you get a "proof disk printable to 5X7 of all images in the gallery for $300"...taking into account the talent of this photographer (she is amazing!), is this a good thing??? I am not exactly sure what a "proof disk" is, meaning, will they be the high-def like photos? TIA!

They arent high res. You can print them up to a 5x7 print. If you want larger, you will probably need to go to her for larger prints. they will look icky if you print larger.

Thank you! Would they be OK for a birth announcement? I want the pic to look nice. I don't want to cheap-out but the high resolutions are SO expensive!

Probably not but ask her. Im not sure what size she would size to. Does she sell the high res. Maybe you can buy one or 2?

Thats not bad at all! So even if you bought 1 or 2. Then you can still use the disk to print gifts for family. If you love her work and its $380 its an awesome deal!

I would think if she says they are printable up to 5x7, they would be fine for an announcement. I had 5 pics of DS on his announcement, so they were each fairly small -total card was only 5x7 so even if you did one big pic, I would think it should still look good.
That being said, I'd maybe buy a couple of my favorites anyway just in case you want to use them later for a bigger blow up.

You can always ask how much would it be for the hi res photos on a disk instead of the proof, if you're worried about printing quality.

I went to an amazing photo studio called hi-tech. All that I bought was a high res cd with over 250 pics for 190. I printed everything on snapfish
