Let's Talk Baby Clothes
As I sit here at work browsing Carter's site...I have a few questions. It's been 5 1/2 years since DD so I kind of forgot. How many newborn outfits did you buy?
If your baby was between 5-7 1/2 lbs

Let's Talk Baby Clothes
Hailey was 6lbs when we left the hospital... we had about 5 sleep & plays... thats what she wore for about 2 weeks... then we started with onesies and pants... i had about 4 onesies and rotated like 2 pants. She was out of NB size at 6w.

DD was 7.6lb at birth. She wore newborn for about 1 month. Mainly sleepers with feet or onsies with pants/leggings.
I would say 8 sleepers, 8-10 onsies with pants/leggings.
She grew QUICKLY and now at 4 months is in size 6 months. She is so long, already outgrowing 6 month length on 1 piece outfits with legs. Thankfully summer is coming otherwise i'll need to start washing 9 months.
I would pay more attention to length than weight.

I think i had like 7 outfits/sleepers for nb. (came home in the 5 lb range and wore them til 8 weeks). Then onesie/pants outfits for 0-3 mo. I had about 12-14 outfits then sleepers.

Dd was born 5.5 and I needed preemie even though she was full term. I only had about 6 or so sleep and plays.

DS was 7.9 pds and he wore newborn clothes for 3 - 4 weeks. I think I had about 12 outfits (one piece with feeties) and that's it. I just did laundry if needed.

DS was 6 lbs and I only had 2 newborn outfits. The 3 month were big but we worked with it.

Let's Talk Baby Clothes
my dd was in size NB for about 1-2 months. She was small not a preemie. I had about 4-6 sleep n plays and at least 10+ onesies. She was a summer baby and lived in those. When she was a newborn I didn't put pants on unless ac was on. I maybe had about 5 pants. Even now shes 11 months and still fits in carters 9 months size. I only had a few dresses which she barely wore. I found it a waste to go nuts with all the crazy frilly outfits. It was like 100 degrees and the middle of summer I just wanted her to be comfy.

Dd was 8.5...she came home in a newborn outfit and she maybe had 3 others that she outgrew very quickly
It all depends on your baby's size but I wouldn't stock up on too many
