What age for Disney?
I know there's no specific age. I think any age is fine, but more wondering where to go for a certain age.
We are looking to go mid October for a week. DS1 will be 4.5 and DS2 will be a little over 2. We would be going with my brother, his girlfriend and her son who will be 3.5.
Any advise or activities geared more towards that age?
I never thought I'd say this before kids (or at least with DS1), but may have to get the backpack leash for DS2 b/c he would run off.
For a 4 and 2 year old you think a double stroller? DS1 is lazy at times so I could see him wanting to be in a stroller. He loves it now.
Also, advise on renting cars. We are early people while m brother and his g/f sleep in later (they work in a hospitla and used to later hours). We are sharing the timeshare, but may get separate cars so we can go earlier and leave earlier.
Thoughts? Advise?

Without a doubt being the double carriage!
We've only stayed on site but it's probable best to have 2 cars so u can come and go as you please.

I had to quote so I would't forget all your questions.
The best time is whenever you feel you and your kids are ready. For some it's at a really young age while others it may be later. IMO you're never too young for Disney.
For activities, your kids will be able to do anything that doesn't have a height restriction.They can do rides, go to shows, see characters. We have taken our kids to all four parks as we feel there is something for them in each. They particularly love Magic Kingdom and try to do that park twice.
Strollers are a must for kids that age. Doubles are good but may be bulky if it's crowded or you're taking the bus. We have brought 2 singles. We just found it easier.
If you are staying on property you can take Disney transportation. It can be unpredictable, so we have our car. You could always take the car while the rest could take the bus. If you're off property then maybe 2 cars would be better.
I could sit here and type out all the suggestions on what to do but there is a ton of information out there. If you do a search on Pinterest or even google for Walt Disney World or the specific questions you have, you will find loads of posts by bloggers who have written a lot about these topics.(myself included) If you have any questions please let me know. DS at almost 3 was perfect. It was magical!
DD at 1 yr, 3 months was too young (but along for the ride!). She was more interested in touching rocks.
Double strollers are a popular item... We went without strollers (can't wait in lines with them), and thought it was fine. The park wasn't THAT big and we were ok carrying the kids for bits. We also did it streamlined (so we were there only 5 hrs)... And our kids walk.
So... I guess point of my post is to say that there are lots of ways to "do" Disney. All depends on you!

I think you will have a blast with the boys. I'm actually renting a double stroller, so I say a double is a must- or just bring two singles. We did that a few times. I'm renting the double because Luca is too heavy for the singles I own and I want to have back up in case he's exhausted at the end of the day. I haven't been yet, but I think Legoland would be an awesome trip for 3 boys too. As for cars, definitely rent two. Search for deals as the dates get closer. I just paid $165 for a week in a mid size SUV.

We are thinking about going in Oct as well. DD will just be turning 4 and DS will be 1.5. We will definitely bring a stroller for both of them!

I just read on a Disney blog that the best age to go for the first time is 7-8 yrs.
I'm ignoring that and planning a trip for next year (my girls will be almost 3 and 4.5 and #3 will be 1).
I'm bringing the double stroller- the little one will be in there almost the whole time and the other 2 can switch on and off. I'm going to get the glider board for the stroller when #3 is born so my oldest can ride along if she wants.
I agree with you on the leash thing. If #3 is an early walker like #2 was, I'll have all 3 of them on leashes! I'm going to look like a dog walker
ETA: I will probably also bring a baby wearer/carrier thingie.
I've found these 2 blogs particularly helpful and easy to navigate (as opposed to disboards or allears which can make me crazy)

I totally agree with the stroller. My kid HATES the stoller and has always been a walker over a sitter. Still for all parks we bring one and each one, she uses it. We convinced her that sitting in it gets her to all the good stuff faster! LOL

I took DS at 11months and be was in amazement of it all. We stayed offsite with DH's cousin and we had 2 cars.
We rented a car through Priceline app on my iPhone and got an iPhone deal. A week for 150 for a full size car. It was pay at counter so we could cancel anytime.
