is this a good idea?

Sorry....posted without writing by accident.

I am trying to figure out child care and its harder than I thought. I was thinking of getting someone to come in part time (just mornings) and then having my mom come for the afternoon until I get home from work?

Does this care plan sound too broken up? How likely do you think it will be that I could find someone willing to work just the mornings (i'm thinking 7am-12pm)

Since its in your home, that would provide consistency. Seems like it would work well for your mom too- she would get time with the dc but not be overwhelmed with a whole day.

Definitely possible to get someone- you may have someone who can arrange their schedule like that while their older dc's are in school for the am or what have you.

I think that could totally work. It may be hard for SAHM to start at 7am though. You might be better off trying to find a college student who could babysit mornings and take classes in the afternoon.

It could definately work.

Currently we have our babysitter from 830-4 and then either my mom or other family member usuallly relieves her until my dh or I get home between 5 and 6.
