when DS was taking 5oz, I would just use 2.5 scoops of powder 
we use RTF now and I premake 5-6 bottles at a time, use an entire 32oz bottle. She takes between 4-6oz per feeding now at almost 4 months

I think people (like myself) didn't feel comfortable eyeballing half a scoop, since it wasn't really an exact measurement.

I Make them as needed. At night I would pre fill the bottles with water and than bring the measured powder into our room and make the bottles as they woke up. For 5 oz bottles I just use to make 6 and toss what was left over.

no offense meant, i hope none is taken but it isnt rocket science. the containers even say "do not pack scoop" so it is never exactly the same amount.

For 5 oz, I would just use half of a scoop. Never made a pitcher of formula.

You can take the scoop and measure and draw a line for half a scoop if your not comfortable eye balling it.
This way every time it will be the same amount.

I made mine as needed. Even in the middle of the night. I never wanted to refrigerate cause I never wanted to heat bottles. Room temp water and mix. If ds was drinking say 5 ounces I would just put half a scoop.

LOL none taken...I know I'm not normal but after BF for 6 months, mixing formula in general gave me a HUGE amount of anxiety. I was always afraid that my powder to water ratio wouldn't be right and it would be too dense, too watered down, etc. So mixing a half scoop was not even an option for me. (Again, totally realize that's not the norm but I'm sure there are others out there like me)
I loved the pitcher and I was able to figure out that X full scoops made the correct ounces of formula. I just took the bottle out of the fridge 15 mins before feeding time as by that point DD was on a pretty set feeding schedule.
