Get the Baby Bargains book. It helped us so much in narrowing everything down and made different recommendations for each area of baby stuff. It was totally worth it.

We used the sales associates at the stores. They told us the best products and we made our decision based on what they told us. They don't work on commission so it is not like they want to sell you the most expensive pieces.

I agree about the Baby Bargains book!!! It was SO helpful! I read that and then looked at the reviews on Amazon of the items that were recommended in the book.

Buy Buy Baby also has sales associates that will help you if you want but you have to make an appointment beforehand.

As for the items...I registered for the Snuggleride 35...my SIL has it and so do about 4 other people I know and they all love it. We got the snap and go to go along with that which is SUPER easy to use and I can't wait to use it. It's also lightweight.

i agree you should def. check out the baby bargins book.
it really willl help you narrow you choices dowdn esp. when it comes to car seats.

All car seats are safe and have to meet saftey requirements. The difference between most of them is weight and hieght and the different features. How easy it is to move the straps install etc.

For the infant car seat i ended up getting the chicco key fit one.

Re: baby registery

I just posted a thread about Buy Buy Baby. I used their registry service yesterday where they give you a sales associate to walk around with you and it was great.

DH and I are clueless when it comes to baby stuff and the associate was really helpful. I would definitely make an appointment to do this.

Also, as I said before, I read over the Baby Bargains book before hand too and I think that made me feel more comfortable with some choices.
