Father's Day - how do you handle
How do you handle Father's day - do you spend it with just your family (you, DH, and kids), In-laws, or your parents?
This year is tough because it's DH's first fathers day so I want to do something special for him. But we have both of our dads expecting us to do something too. My family is 2 hours away so it's tough.
mother's day was easy, I hosted a brunch at our place and everyone came to us.
Previous years, our dads haven't been so into it and we've done something small or acknowledged on saturday/week before/after etc to accommodate schedules. This year with the only baby in the family, it's tough.

Father's Day - how do you handle
we don't see my family anymore... so its easy only planning with dh family...I am going to book dh a brunch for just us. so the morning is only us. then we'll see his family for a dinner.

Last year was DH first Father's Day. We did breakfast at the beach and then had a BBQ at his dads house. My parents aren't local.

I just gave birth last year so DD was 3 days old not much for me to do. but prior years we did brunch at our house. Same thing for Mothers day. We had it @ our house and DH did everything. I will for him as well. And our family came to us

We usually alternate Fathers Day and Mothers Day. Since this was my first Mothers Day, we spent it with my family and we will spend Fathers Day with DH family this year since its his first.
