Baby fighting vitamin...what to do?

My Son is almost 5 months and EBF. This past week he has fought us to give him his vitamin (Poly Vi-Sol w/Iron). He shakes his head; waves his hands in front of the dropper; tries to spit out the vitamin that we put in his mouth!! He does get bottles at Day care. DH suggested starting to put the vitamin in his bottles; but I'm afraid he won't drink the milk and then he won't get any vitamin. Be hungry and just move on to the bottle that doesn't have the vitamin. At least when he fights us we can eventually get him to take it. Any tips? I might talk to my ped. at his 5 month appt next week and see what options we have. Perhaps a flavor can be added? Switch vitamins? If you add the vitamin to the bottle did the baby notice? Did you do a little in each bottle so it's not all in one?

My multi vitamin is a mango orange flavor and dd hates it. I put it in her first bottle of the day and she never noticed. Drinks the whole bottle as usual with no issues.

If u keep it in the fridge, it makes it taste better

I never push it too much. DD is pretty good about it but some days she fights it and I just let it go. I don't want her to associate it in a negative way so as long as she gets it most days it's fine with me. Maybe take a day or two off from offering it and then try again.

dd's vitamin is brown and smells like pet food lol. I don't blame her for not wanting it. I put it in her bottle and doc said its ok as long as she drinks the entire bottle

I put it in the bottle and that is the only one that she drinks dry. the others still have some left over

I first tried half a bottle with half the vitamin just in case they didnt take it I only wasted a little. They took it no problem and Ive been putting it in their bottle since 3 mo. Now they get the fruity prescript one for 6 plus mo so I could probably give it in their mouth. There are times they dont take all their bottle at that time but I figure they get most of it most of the time.

I thought my ped said not to give it with the bottle? Anyone else? Wow, that would be so much easier than chasing my 9 month old with a dropper!!!
