Car seat question
My parents have a house in Florida and I'm going to be taking my 7 month old for the first time. I would like to get a car seat to leave in their car so I don't have to worry every time I go... any suggestions on a safe yet inexpensive car seat that won't be used that often.. oh and must be easy to install. Thx! FYI I am currently using an infant carrier and haven't switched over in my own car yet so I don't have any experience.

all car seats are equally as safe. I would just get a cheaper convertible seat to leave at their house.

IMO evenflo snd britax get the best reviews. Britax is  . Have you looked into the evenflo sureride? Its $100 but i think you can get for $80 in albee w free shipping. We just got for DD to have in DHs car nd so far love it.

A lot of people on here recommended the cosco scenera to me. I didn't buy it yet. I'm also looking into the evenflo symphony which came recommended. I also just need one for occasional use in DH's car.

I second this...about $40, very high weight limits (esp for rear facing), and very high safety ratings.
My DD is also much more comfortable in hers than her Britax. The Cosco is very roomy.

The less expensive ( can be found sub $125) that I usually recommend:
Cosco Scenera/Apt 40
Safety 1st Onside Air
Graco MyRide
Evenflo Titan/Triumph 65/SureRide
As Champ pointed out all car seats are equally as safe, they pass the same tests. So if you're using it once a year, it doesn't make sense to go out and pay 200+ on a seat.

Tara,
The reviews I have read on the Scenera on Amazon are more on the negative side... People complain they have problems with the straps, and have little padding and no head/neck protection.
I need extra seats for my moms car. They would be used a few times a month. I have Britax advocates for my car. I don't necessarily want to get advocates for my moms car but I would like a nice seat (ideally under $150 each) since they will be using them for the next couple of years.
Which on your list is a good, comfortable and easy to install seat? Which seats do you have?
