no more naps??-vent
DD is 25 months.
For the last 2 weeks or so she has been very inconsistent with naps. Sometimes she falls asleep and sometimes she just rolls around in her bed and stays awake. I always leave her in her room for at least an hour.
I am not ready for no naps!! When she doesn't nap it's a toss up whether or not she can make it until bedtime without losing her mind.
Today makes 3 days in a row without a nap.
oh no!!!!!!!!!

My DD gave up naps at 13 months old and did not STTN until she was 2 1/2. Two years is about right for naps.

I wouldn't give up on the nap yet. I personally think 25 months is too young to give it up. I'd keep trying. Maybe adjust the time a bit so the nap starts 30 min later.

25/26 months was when DS pushed his nap back from 11:30/12 to 12:30/1pm. I never adjusted his bed time, he just cut his nap from about 2+hours to an hour/ hour and a half. Maybe try that and see? At 31 months he still naps at least 45 minutes a day.

thats about right... DD gave up scheduled naps at a year... as long as they get through the day, they are fine.. it takes about 2-3 days of a little crankiness for them to adjust..
totally normal

this is my kid, he turned 3 in March, and god help us all if he doesn't have a nap
worse even if we decide we need to take a quick drive somewhere in the late afternoon, he'll pass out and there is no waking him till 4am the next day.
He went for a week with no naps, and went back to having them again. One little trick is that I started playing music for him, and lay in the room with him. A few times and then he doesn't need me anymore.
