Bedroom vs playroom

You have two bedrooms - one is pretty small (think office size) and the other is bigger, but still not huge. Which would you use for a bedroom and which for a playroom/office? Bedroom is for a toddler.

I am having the same problem... We are moving in a couple of weeks and I can't decide whether to give DS a smaller bedroom and use part of our family room as his play room or give him a bigger bedroom so he can also have his toys in there. I am thinking I will end up using the smaller room for his bedroom and split up the family room..

Larger for the playroom, toys always require more room than sleeping, at least in my house.

smaller room bedroom, larger room playroom. DS doesn't spent much time in his bedroom unless he's sleeping. His train table and trampoline take up alot of room...and during the winter we even had his outdoor rocket / slide playhouse in his play room. he uses that room alot more bc that's where he is when i'm cooking / cleaning.

I would do the smaller bedroom and larger room for toys. We don't even keep toys in our kids' bedrooms...they are all in the playroom and family room.

I would do the small room for a bedroom. I prefer not to have a lot of toys in the bedroom and in our house their bedroom is really just for sleeping and reading books.

Phew! You ladies made me feel so much better about this. I was feeling really guilty about putting DD in the smallest bedroom, but it just makes sense. She is only in there to sleep and her toys just take up too much space. It's only temporary anyway until she's old enough to use the basement by herself. Thank you!
