i only want mommy!

My dd is 10.5 months and can really only be put to bed by me and soothed if she wakes by me. Now I know i mostly created this issue but im a ptwm who wakes up later than hubby so i always put her to bed. My dh will sometimes but lately she cries hyaterically when dh puts her down. Ill take her and shes asleep in 2 min.

Now i told dh we have to keep having him put her down so that she gets more used to it. Cause what happens when i go out and am not home. I told my dh his first mistake is giving up too easily and handing her back over to me.

And now that her bedtime is early i think 3 times a week he should put her down to bed.

But does anyone else have any other suggestions? What do i do when its not my dh and i? Like tonight were supposed to go to dinner and my sis is babysitting. Im so scared shes just gonna cry and cry and not go to bed. I want to stay home until i put her to bed then go out but this may not always be an option. And i know thats not the right option.

We had this problem with both kids.

Have your hubby put her to sleep... Touch her, cuddle her. It only gets worse from here!

As for a stranger/your sister putting her to sleep... It didn't work for us at all. I'd go out before or after their bedtime.

Same here and dd is almost 3. But I have to say dd has no problem going to sleep for anyone or dh when I'm out. When I'm home it's only me. It's exhausting but I just deal

When you go out did your dc go to sttn with the other person or did they keep waking up?


We havent had any parties or things to do where we wouldnt be home at night to put dd to bed in like 3 months and clearly we havent had a date night alone in awhile lol

But again for tonight im scared my dd is just gonna cry hysterically and not calm down for my sis then my sis wont know what to do and ill be forced to come home.

And i dont mind staying home to put dd to bed but dinner is at 8 with friends and we can be late but if dd doesnt go to sleep until 9 then its too late. Shes usually goes to bed between 8-9.

Ughh i know i did this to myself i guess i never realized until this week just how attached she is to specifically me. Up until now she would go to both of us for comfort.

Dd always sttn. She never woke with the baby sitter here. I know it's hard but I would let your sister do it even if she cries. I'm sure it will be easier then it seems.
