Best cream for exzema?
My 5 month old has eczema on her face
It comes and goes but I can not figure out what aggravates it. The pediatrician suggest I put hydrocortisone but I'm not too keen on that since she can get it In her mouth and eyes. I have already tried the aveeno eczema cream and it seems to make it worse...

coconut oil or hemp seed oil. they can be ingested as well as used topically for healing from the inside out

Anything aveeno bothers DD as does cetaphyl. I only use aquaphor on her and occasionally the rx cream if it's bad.

Nothing was working on my niece's face until SIL tried the babyganics excezma cream. It cleared right up!

The BEST for my DC who ALL have eczema has been the Honest Co. Healing Balm. Clears up patches in a few days.

this.. but I prefer Aquaphor first.. slather her down after a bath. Use Cerave for touch ups.

I love coconut oil and vani-cream (can buy at CVS for $16) i have really bad exzema and Im pregnant so I cant use my steroid cream. My DD and niece have exzema--- my neice is totally covered in it, and the pediatric dermatologist recomended vani cream and prescription hydrocortisone. The key seems to be to slather the affected area in cream as much as you can throughout the day. I would avoid anything greasy/petroleum like that creates a moisture barrier because although it holds moisture in, it also keeps moisture out.

CeraVe. We also changed a lot of other things to help with the eczema....free and clear detergent, California baby body wash, no dairy and lathering up really good with the CeraVe cream after every bath. Use lukewarm water in the bath, anything too warm will aggravate it. All of this really helped. Use the rx cream liberally, ESP on the face because it thins the skin out. Only use it when you really need to. Aveeno products suck in my opinion. The bath wash and sunblock made his skin worse, it turned bright red like he had a bad sunburn.

I've tried everything and lately I am doing Vaseline 3-4x a day. Her drool is really irritating it right around her mouth and the Vaseline helps create a barrier. I did previously try hydrocortisone, eucerin and cerave but nothing was helping so I just stayed doing Vaseline ONLY. HTH!

another vote for cerave (not lotion, cream in the tub), Im usually into more natural stuff, but this stuff is amazing as rx
aquafor, check ingredients for alcohol, senseless they used to add it
