When to switch to medium flow nipple?
DD will be 12 weeks this weekend. She spits up after every feeding. That in mind, when would/did you switch from a slow to a medium flow nipple? I'm concerned that the medium flow will increase spit up, but it's taking her nearly 30 minutes to take a bottle because of the slow nipple.

My girls were getting mad at feedings like they couldnt get enough. One started around 3 mo, the other 4.

Try it and see if it works. You can always go back and you will eventually need med flow so its not a waste to buy.
When I told the ped and said I was going to go to med he said they dont need to be burped btwn and that might be why she is gettin mad. (it was after burping DD would yell at us). So we changed the nipple AND didnt stop to burp and she was better.

Shes been on medium since the we got home, she was so gassy with slow.
ETA: DD will be 12 weeks this weekend also

I did it last weekend, so at like 4.5 months. I switched because she started to get fussy when drinking due to the slow flow.
It's amazing how much quicker a feeding goes now!

It depends on the baby.
With my DD, she started getting extremely frustrated with the low flow nipple around 12 weeks. She would freak out during feedings because she couldn't get the formula out fast enough. She was so much more content and happy once we made the switch to medium flow. Never had to move her past the medium flow either, she stuck with that until we ditched her bottles at like 15-16 months.
With my DS, we switched him from the low flow to the medium flow at 5 1/2 weeks old. Took him a day or so to get use to it and to pace himself but it was the BEST thing we did for him. With the low flow, he was constantly falling asleep during the feedings to the point that it would take up to an hour and a half at times to get him to finish. It was INSANE. The medium flow keeps him awake (and happier) and he's done eating between 20 and 40 minutes depending on the time of day.

DS is 4.5 months and still on NB nipples. I keep him on them since I BF and I heard not to switch to the faster flow or he may reject the slowness of the boob.
