Checking on LO's at night

Do you go in your LO's room every night and check on them?
I did with DS1 and still usually do. Not every night, but most nights. Especially if they are sick or off that day. He's almost 4 and goes to sleep at 7:30PM.
I would check on DS2 who's 22 months only he is the lightest sleeper. If the floor creaks he can get up depending on where he is in sleep.
I do have the monitor, but stinks I can't just look in on him sleeping sometimes. LOL

Anyone else have a light sleeper so you can't check on them?

I do! So I never check on her... The minute I'd open the door shed start stirring!

no way. I tiptoe out of there and don't look back. Once I go in, all hell breaks loose. That's what I have the video monitor for!

I check on her every night. If not me, then the hubby. We have to cover her back up again as she always kicks off the blankets. She'll also grab a flashlight if bored in and will either still have it on or if she remembered to shut it off its still in bed and I hate the idea of her sleeping with that in her bed.

I turn off the lights leading to her room and go in. I have very good night vision for some reason. Hubby can't do that. He needs to turn on an indirect source of light. I go in, tuck her in again, brush the hair from her temple give her a kiss tell her I love her and unlodge her lovie (towel) if need be.

My DD is a light sleeper too and i never check on her. I see her on the monitor and thats enough for me!

Yeah. We have a video monitor but I still go in before I go to bed to cover him again if he's kicked the blankets off, turn off the music if we had it on and give him one more kiss. He's a pretty good sleeper. I accidentally woke him the other night checking his temp with the temporal thermometer, but he just looked at me, whined for a second and rolled over.

My DD is a very light sleeper. We just got a new monitor that moves and zooms in since the old one I couldnt see her anymore and it would make me nervous when I couldnt check on her.

Almost never. Our house is old and the wood floors creak. Video monitor does the trick for me.

yes, most nights i just peek in to make sure the room temp is comfy. I look to make sure DD's face is not covered by her lovey.

we have a video monitor for both rooms so I can look at them at any point

DH checks on her every night.

I don't bc if she wakes up it's like "you woke her, you got her." Even though she hasn't woken up once.

Last night she rolled onto her belly and DH went in and flipped her - not a peep.

I'd go in and she'd hear me breathing and wake up.

I did when she was really young but not anymore. I don't want to risk waking her and don't really worry. If she's sleeping, I'm happy! I have an audio monitor so I can't see her that way either.

Yes I check on both kids every night before I go to bed.

Never! I have a light sleeper and an old house with very creaky floors.

I only go in if i see something or hear something on monitor that concerns me. And thats rare. Otherwise never.

Always, I check n my 3 yr old before I go to bed. Give her a kiss and cover her up. She sleeps through anything. Dd2 is 10 months and a super sensitive sleeper. I will put the air purifier on full power, so if I go in she won't hear me.

My older DS is a very light sleeper, so once I put him down at 8, I don't go near his room until he gets up at 7 AM. My little one is only 6 weeks and is still in our room in the rock and play, but he is also a light sleeper. I don't know what I'm going to do when we move him into his own room in a few weeks!

I still check on my 4.5 year old at least 2 times a night after she falls asleep.

I never check. I have a video monitor so I check that. Sometimes I sneak in to grab their dirty laundry to throw in the wash!

I check every night, if DC starts to stir I have dropped to the floor and army crawled out haha

DS is a deeeeeep sleeper lol i can go in with a flashlight and put his laundry away after he goes to bed! DD not so much. She starts to squirm if the floor creaks so i just peek in on her before i go to bed.
