If you wear a jacket does DC?
I take the train everyday to work and I am always amazed at how many parents have little kids with a tee shirt and no jacket but they have a jacket. I know if anything I always over dress my kids. But what bothers me is if it's cold enough for you to wear a jacket why wouldn't you make your DC wear one?

Depends. I'm always cold. Lol
My boys are dressed appropriately, but don't always put a jacket on them. If we are just playing outside and they are running around they don't have a jacket and I will bc I'm cold and not running around like them.

I am like you this irks me so much especially if it feels cold. If I have a jacket, ds has one as well. If he gets hot and wants to take it off that's one thing, but if I'm cold chances are he's cold as well.

same here...I run so cold, the boys do not. I always go by what my husband is wearing...they are like him.

This is exactly how I feel. If DD wants to take off her coat (or sweater) that's different but if I'm wearing one, she's getting something similar. I would actually feel wrong not giving her one if I'm wearing a coat.

There have been several mornings where we leave the house and i have on a sweatshirt or a fleece jacket and DD WILL NOT put one on...like boarder line hysterics WILL NOT put on a coat. I dont have the time in the morning to argue with her so we leave the house and she isn't wearing one. I always have one with me for her but I am not going to force her into a coat and deal with a temper tantrum as we are leaving the building. Its not that I dont want her in a coat or dont try its just that she WILL NOT wear one. She'll be 2 next week.

Some kids feel very restricted in coats. I know I personally do. I hate wearing a coat.

Because she hates it and doesn't want to hold it
Because I wear it to just have something for my office which is freezing
Because I always layer her. So she may look like she's wearing just a Tshirt but she's at LEAST got another tshirt under that either cami or full on Tshirt of thicker material under her uniform shirt.
Because she's a mad woman and runs around to no end and literally comes home sweaty nearly every day! They dont go outside if its cold but have an indoor area to expel energy.
Because she also keeps a jacket at school so she's got one if she gets cold
Meh. It would only bother me if I saw the child cold. Which AJ will do. NO to everything then cuddle up to me with her towel wrapped around her shoulders.. makes me feel like an arse so I take off my jacket (which I didn't want but wore it just in case) and wrap it around her. Seriously I've work a jacket many times for the soul purpose of using it for her and not me at all!

Usually the opposite with us... I won't have one on, but my DD will usually always, if its been one of the nicer days at least a sweatshirt... but for school always a jacket.

He always has one more layer on than I do.
If I'm comfy in just a long sleeved shirt, he has the same on plus another sweater/jacket over it.

same here...I am ALWAYS cold. DS is a little hot box like his daddy. BUT he's always dressed appropriately

Absolutely! I can't stand seeing parents in pants and sweaters and the kids in shorts and t shirts
I honestly think it's pure laziness and thoughtlessness.
Kids do not run hot, they feel like you do
