Pre-K: Camping out
I heard that there are people who camp out waiting to be first on line, but I didn't do that......got there at 7:15 instead and there was a line already.
They gave us each a # so we can go back at a set time, but I didn't realize it gets so crazy. (I'm #10 at least).
Is it like this in your district? DH's aunt texted me that in the city this is normal because there's not enough spots for all the kids who need to go.

Are you talking about universal pre-k through the district? In my district (nassau county) there is a lottery that you submit your name to by mail and then they pick names to see who gets selected. No waiting in line or anything like that.
