Daycare--Legit complaint?

So my DD just started daycare and everyday she comes home stinking of perfume. Now, my first reaction is that it's completely ridiculous and unprofessional for her teachers to be wearing perfume. BUT, admittedly, I despise perfume in general so maybe I'm oversensitive to it. (Though my very laid back DH is bothered by it too.)

Ugh! I want to say something because I really can't stand my infant reeking like perfume, but I also don't want to start off on the wrong foot with her teachers.

Any advice from daycare moms is appreciated.

I don't send DD to daycare, but I used to work in one and we were not permitted to wear perfume.

If it were me, I would say something. Infants should not be breathing in perfume all day.

I would say something...im very allergic to some perfumes i have trouble breathing, and whose to say if either one of my kids got that as well

I'm surprised how many times in the short 16 months ive had to advocate for baby...making me feel confrontational which I hate but have no choice...day care situations and care in nicu come to mind..ugh..I've had to change day cares. I hate when my mils perfume goes on baby. I understand the concern.. Say something kindly see how its addressed-how they handle this concern will be an eye opener for future concerns. I had similar concern with smells at old day care i didn't want to make a big deal about it but kept thinking i would want to smell that all day so I can't let him... Good luck

I would say something. I am very sensitive to certain smells and that would really bother me. I mean they would have to have it on pretty strong for it to transfer. It's got to be sprayed generously on their shirt. My mom used to stink up my babies pretty bad. I had to ask her to cut it down. It was giving me a headache.

i have this happen every once and a while and sometimes its worse than other days. I would mention it.
You can either say something and it changes or doesn't but at least you said something. And i hope they make the change

I would say something. Relatives have come over and stunk my kids up with their perfume and i say something. They have sensitive skin and it sceeves me out.

we had this in last school I think.... even happens with close trelatives some times...

I have said stuf when DS came home reeking.. they "couldn't figure out who it was." but would speak to the staff about it. It never really happened again
