recommend your sandbox please!!!
Would.like to get one for dd and.ds who will be 2 and 4 this.summer. I was looking at the turtle or.crab one but are they too small?

We have the little tikes turtle one. It's an older model, so I'm not sure if it's bigger now. But it is definitely to small for two kids to play in. I only have one DS right now so it works for us. I really like the cover. Keeps it nice and clean.

We have the Crabbie one. We've had it for 2 years now and DS loves it and plays there every chance he gets. Even those 50 degree days in the winter. DS is 3.5 and big for his age and I sometimes wish we had a bigger one. I sit in there and play sometimes though so 2 kids do fit. The cover really stays on, even during some strong winds so I think it's a good buy.

I recommend the step 2 sand box which is not set on the floor I like that they can stand and play with the sand, much cleaner too. I had the frog shape little tikes way too small. The step 2 is much bigger.

recommend your sandbox please!!!
i have the Step2 naturally playful sandbox. It holds about 200lbs of sand and has four spots built in for them to sit on. Don't buy from Step2 they are cheaper elsewhere, I have seen them as low as $60 I think that was in either walmart, TRU or target. I got mine in mint condition used on craigslist for $40. I like it a lot and my twins and a friend of theirs plays in it no problem. They are 2 and 2 1/2. Yesterday my twins and our 50lb dog were all in there together. I would suggest putting your sandbox on grass if you can. Ours is on a concrete patio and they have fallen out of it several times while sitting on the ledge not on the seats. My girls are major climbers so I would not want a sandbox on legs for them because they will definitely be climbing up into it like they do with their water table.
The crab at TRU is much bigger than it looks and I think that is adorable too. I think it also holds 200lbs of sand. Just make sure whatever you get has a cover.

I also have the Step 2 Naturally Playful sandbox. My DD loves it!! She sits there for hours and plays. I can tell you this, if she had to stand to play with it, she wouldn't use it. Definately big enough for several kids.

The cheapest place is TRU at 69.99 Step2 sells it for a lot more. You can get the sand there too. Also, if they don't have it in stock you can order online and have it shipped to the store for free. The cool part about that box is the lid is a high dome so you can leave all the buckets, toys and stuff in the box when they are done playing. There is a video about the sandbox on the TRU website so you can see it in action.

We also have the Step2 Naturally Playful sandbox.
My parents bought one for their yard last year, and my son liked it so much, we got the same one for our yard this year. We bought it at TRU.
