A few potty training related questions

Kieran is 3y3m old and is newly potty trained. He does great during the day, but is still peeing most nights. He wears only underwear all day. At night, we have been putting him in underwear with a pullup over it, so that he has the sensation of wet underwear, but we won't have to change the sheets every day. Is there anything else I can do to help with night training? Or will it just happen over time?

Second question- can anyone recommend a good folding travel potty seat? I bought the Primo folding seat and it hasn't fit on any of 3 different toilets we've tried it on so far. It seems to be too circular shaped, whereas most toilet seats are more oval. I'd love to find one that fits most seats better and folds up small to fit in a diaper bag.

Third question- how on earth can you ever trust them to wipe thoroughly after poop? I can't even imagine how that would go. I've taught him how to wipe, and he does so, but I always follow up with toilet paper and wet wipes because he just can't get all the way in there.

I was lucky bc when JJ trained at 3y3m, he trained overnight too but I hear that's rare & the overnight takes time.

I got a Winnie the Pooh seat through Huggies website that fits all seats bc it is half a seat (like public bathrooms). Never had an issue.

Wiping is something I am dreading. I know I need to get DS to do this by September but right now I'm doing it. My mom who was a teacher said kids in kindergarten aren't the best either.

They have seats like that with different characters at Buy Buy Baby - I have a Cars one for DS.

DS is recently trained and is usually dry in the morning (he was most of the time before we started the push)- I still put a pull up on though just in case.

When I trained DS he some how managed to stay dry all night. (I was a big bed wetter when I was a kid so this amazed me.)
IMHO - regardless of him feeling the pee - he still knows he has on a pull-up/diaper and is going to go.
If it's laundry & changing sheets that's an issue, what about putting a waterproof pad on the bed & limit the amount of blankets?
Also - rewards for staying dry through the night.

Even through DS has been completely potty trained almost a year now we still give a sticker if he's dry through the night. He loves it...it doesn't take much to please him -

We had a similar folding potty seat as pictured above - we had the Cars one. I think we got it at Walmart. To be honest - it just got to be a PITA more than anything. Especially being I wasn't carrying a diaper bag...the thought of putting it in my purse skeeved me out - regardless of the plastic pouch.

Wiping...ugh... Talk about laundry! DS is in daycare/preschool & they don't wipe them so in the beginning I was getting lots of plastic bags w/undies in them at night.
To be honest...I still wipe him at home. I know I need to stop so he can learn...it's on my list.
He's been coming home with no issues in his underwear from school for a while now, come to think of it...I think he's just going at home.
