Life Vest / Flotation Device for Toddlers
DD is 2.5 yrs old and I bought her a life vest but it was wayyyy to small, could be since she has a little belly but my DH and I tried everything on her at BRU and nothing fit her. Is it supposed to be extremely tight?
It doesn't have to be a vest, any flotation device is fine.
Is something like this good?

Funny I was just at TRU today looking at those. I was leaning towards the bathing suit or the vest with a crotch strap kind. I didn't buy anything though since they didn't have their size.

I just ordered Kiefer Swim 'N Play Trainer for my 2.5 yr old son. Instructor at Ymca and a few friends recommend it. Lets see how it goes when I receive it. =)

We used the puddle jumpers you posted first in pink. They were fantastic. Costco has them for about $14.

I hear great things about the puddle jumper, but DS is 3 years old and doesn't weigh enough for it.  We just use swimmies.

The first one is fantastic but, it's for 30 lbs and up - so if your DD isn't close to 30 lbs, it probably won't work appropriately.

I just looked this up and I don't think I'd use it for safety purposes. If they fell in and panicked- the child could get stuck on his/her belly (face down in the water).
As a swim trainer it looks perfect.
ETA: We have the puddle jumper for DD1 and we love it.
I have to find something for DD2 who is only 22lbs
