I didn't buy for my son until close to the end. I had had my shower a few months prior, so I mostly just bought cute outfits or things I liked.

Not BTDT but I'm 23wks and already started buying things. It's fun and helps keep me positive and makes him feel more real.

Was Team Green so there was never any temptation to buy blue or pink cute things. Had a lot of things given to us second hand and only at the very end did I buy some essentials.

With DD I started shopping here and there after my 20 week sono when I found out. This DC we are not finding out so i am much better behaved. I bought a boy and a girl coming home outfit and diapers. Now at almost 31 weeks, I had my shower and am slowly picking up anything else I need.

BTDT moms, when did you start buying things for your LO?
I bought DS one thing the entire pregnancy and that was a stuffed animal from a trip DS and I took while I was PG.
I didn't have any desire to get anything else. I felt weird about it... Plus I knew he'd be spoiled rotten by everyone else, which helped.

This is my plan. I'm not registering for clothes (other then layette's and sleepers) but I know that I'll be getting some at my shower. I also have a million cousins and have already been offered their kids baby clothes which still have the tags on them.
