What's your summer plans with your LO?

DS is 13 months...I am a teacher, so I will be home with him this summer. Last year we didn't so much since he was so young. Any ideas you can share? I am planning to go to a friends beach club, but looking for some other ideas....ex. mommy and me...and other activites..

My kids are older, but hen they were tat age we spent a lot of time in the back yard with different baby pools, sprinklers, sand/water table, etc... We also had play dates with friends once or twice a week. We did a lot of day trips to the children's museum, the aquarium, park, the Bronx Zoo, the beach, Sesame Place, etc... Check out your local library because they offer lots of free programs.

What's your summer plans with your LO?

DS # 1 is 2, DS # 2 is just about 5 weeks. In June we are going to Sesame Place, staying overnight, and doing the Please Touch Museum the next day. Going to Ogonquit, ME for a week in August. Taking a mommy & me gymnastics class with my 2 yr. old. DH & I are planning on doing the Bronx Zoo & the coney island aquarium at some point too. Maybe the Animal Farm Petting Zoo, the beach, the park, long island children's museum on rainy days, white post farms.

i have a dd who is 14 months and a teacher and am thinking about the summer now too. I'm going to get an islip town rec pass so i can take her to the local beach. also will be going over to fire island, local playgrounds, libraries, play dates with my girlfriends who also have kids around the same age, hang out in our backyard with toys and baby pool, and maybe some little day trips like the aquarium, white post farms, holtsville ecology center, etc. DH works crazy hours and is never home during the summer so i will also try to keep my sanity...

I am a teacher too and DD will be about almost 6 months come July. I want to go everywhere!! Lol. So these are great suggestions. I know the library offers things but haven't looked into it too much yet since she just turned 3 months.

These are such great suggestions! I have been dying to bring DS to the ny aquarium in Coney Island, but it is still closed from hurricane sandy, and is due to open soon.

DS will be 8-9 months this summer. In July we are going upstate for a week. The rest of the summer I was thinking of swimming lessons and either gymboree or little gym.

We do so much in the summer. We have a pool, so we are in that a lot. We like Byron lake park in oakdale, hechsher park, crabbing, fishing, montauk day trips, aquarium, Dutch wonderland, Bronx zoo, please touch museum, splash splash, ,captree, pirates cove bay shore and our boat

My DS is 19 months old, Im a SAHM and my DH is a teacher
We are doing Sesame place for 2 nights, jersey shore for a week and just plan on enjoying the beach, pool, our boat and spending time with friends!

I will have a 3.5 & 3 yr old & I'm.a SAHM. I'm taking my boys for 6 weeks to our summer house in Maine. My dh will join us for some weekends & a week. We first leave in June.

Im a teacher too! My dd will b 3 in the summer. I plan on putting her in swimming lessons n arts n crafts. I will also see what the library offers. I have a few friends with kids so lots of playdates. We r also going to ocean city, md for a few days with some friends and their children. I have a brother that lives oos so we plan on visiting him too. We also belong to wildlife conservation society so we can go to tge bronx zoo, queens zoo, central park zoo n the aquarium. Its really reasonable.. Look into it

Last summer we went to the beach and park a lot. We also were in our backyard or friends backyards a lot too. In our backyard we set up a swing, water table, playhouse, lawnmower, baby pool, sidewalk chalk, sandbox, cozy coupe car (my DD didn't really ride this but she loved just going in and out of it), and a few toys that I would bring out from the house.

Other places we used to take her too was Sesame Place, Adventureland, the aquarium, the zoo and LICM.

My DS will be 20 months, I am off in the summer. We plan on doing swimming lessons, hanging at my brothers pool, beach, trip to Hershey, trip to Baltimore, lots of walks, park, gymboree open play on rainy days.

Oh and we are closing on our house, selling our coop so lots of packing and unpacking.

DD is almost 22 months. We're doing a roadtrip to visit family OOS, a trip to Dutch Wonderland, and a lot of pool/backyard days. DD is seriously happiest on a slide lol. We'll also do trips to the aquarium in Riverhead, Bronx Zoo, other zoos, WhitePost, fairs, etc.
