Disney- should I get a stroller for 6 year old?
My older DS is 6 years old. We normally don't even bring a stroller for him anymore on trips. Last year he walked all through Animal Kingdom, but we were done by about 4pm. This trip we're doing Magic Kingdom and I'm debating renting a double stroller for the day. We tend to spend the full day and stay for the night parade and fireworks. I think he could make it without a stroller, but I think he'll complain by the end of the day. I made a reservation with Apple for $22, but I can always cancel.
Would you bother with a stroller? Or just have him walk?

If you're pushing a stroller anyway yes I would. I would have sat in a stroller at the end of our long mk day...

My DS is 5.5 and if I were going now I would absolutely get a stroller. Does he use a stroller here at home? NEVER but, the magic kindgom is a whole different story. Could he do it without a stroller - of course but, by the end of the day he would be complaining like crazy and, if I am on vacation why do I need to listen to it?  For me, a stroller would make for a much easier and more enjoyable trip - we could stay out longer, cover more ground and have peace

Yes, my DD is 6 and we just went last weekend and rented from Baby Wheels. Made MY life easier than hearing her complain at the end of the day. Plus it's easier to keep track of her in the crowds.
We don't use a stroller at home (don't even own one)

You will already bring one? If so thenyou not need to rent ond for the day. I just went back and forth for the last few days. Was going to do orlando stroller but ended jp booking with baby wheels.
I would actually not bother for one day. I never recommend this but if you aren't sure you will need it why not just pay the $20 and rent from disney directly. This way you could just rent it as your DS tires out. If he was fine until 4 last time you could hold offuntil like 3 and get it then so you don't have to lug it all over.
Something to think about is I think most places deliver 9 or 10 not sure if you have a car if you could get it earlier. If you want to maake rope drop you would have to do a 2 day rental and get it the day before.

I would do the two day rental and have it dropped off the day before.
We definitely plan on bringing our Combi for my younger DS. He will need it anywhere we go because he is the slowest walker ever.
I was just thinking of getting the double for Disney for both boys. And we would leave the Combi at the resort. My older DS fits in the Combi still, but it doesn't roll right- he's too heavy.

My almost 6 year old has not used a stroller in YEARS....but he was the first to jump in the stroller at disney!!! And he fell asleep in it a few times too.
I would def do it!

YES! We are going this year and I am brining our sit n stand bc I know DC will complain like 2 hours in that DC legs are tired, LOL.

We just did for my 3 year old and almost 6.5 yeR old - we rented a double city mini and it was the best thing we did! Thru both used it tons and neither likes to sit in a stroller.

YES!!!!! My twins are 6 and glad we did. I got a double one. It was a lifesaver. It was a lot of walking, plus I knew were they were at all times.

We just got back. We rented a city mini and brought our other stroller. Ds2 was always in the stroller, ds1 who is about 5.5yo used the stroller some afternoons and the whole last day. It was good bc he never uses the stroller but after three days in the parks and in the pools he needed it. We rented from apple and really, 4 days with the is the same as a day or so through Disney and you get a more comfortable and easier to Push stroller

I would. I was exhausted walking around Disney and wish "I" had a stroller. I can't imagine a 6 yr old not being pooped!
