Cradle Cap - help, please
DD is 10 weeks old. She has developed cradle cap over the last few weeks. It's causing dryness on the upper half of her face (forehead, eyesbrows, eyelids, and ears). I've tried baby oil and olive oil already. I'm particularly questioning what to do about the dryness on her face. I'm going to make an appointment with my dermatologist, but am looking for some relief in the interim. Any help is appreciated.

Maybe Aquaphor? Sorry I can't help anymore, when DS had it, some baby oil did the trick

I have been using coconut oil on DS and it is definitely helping.

I recently read not to use olive oil because it causes dryness. I would stick to aquaphor..or if really bad you may need a cortisone ..DS 's worked it out without meds but doc offered cream.

aquaphor didnt work for ds. people on here suggested cerave. I apply it 4x/ day and it works

Our ped recommended Sebulex shampoo for cradle cap.
It worked great for dd.

Moisturizers make it worse. You can use baby oil or olive oil, let it sit, brush it out, then wash it twice. Both DDs get this on and off. I feel like its when their hair sheds. The best way to get rid of it is to rub it off the forehead in the bath and comb it out with a baby toothbrush a little every day on their head.

head and shoulders is what our ped recommended from day one. it cleared up our dd's cradle cap immediately

On her face just let it be. It will go away on it's own. On her scalp just use a brush or comb to brush it out.

Our pediatrician recommended Head and Shoulders once a week.... and Aquaphor on the dry spots on her face.
