Ergo baby carrier
So I keep hearing about this Ergo infant/baby carrier and I wanted your BTDT advice on if to get it. With DS we had a sling like carrier and only used it for a short time. This time around I planned on getting a Baby Bjorn but now I heard the Ergo is better for the babies hips. Thoughts?

It's awesome! Very comfy! And goes up to 40 pounds so you'll be able to use it for awhile and get your money's worth  we adopted DS at 21 months old and he loved it when he first came home.

Ergos only face baby toward you. I have one, my DD seems to like it and I find it very comfortable.

Target has a great sale on Ergo this week!!

The Becco Gemini does, but it's very bad on a child's hips to face out. I have an ergo and enjoy it a lot. The most important thing with a carrier is to make sure it's designed for the baby to be in a seated position. Carriers like a Bijorn or cheap infantino are horrible for babies. They are called crotch danglers for a reason.
What kind of carries are you looking to do? There are so many options with Moby's, Ergo, Becco, Boba, Ring slings, and woven wraps.

I saw that...they have it on sale for $119 but I have a 20% off coupon for BBB which would save a little more $ so I was thinking of going there.

i love my ERGO as well. DD didnt really like it at first but i love love how i can carry her around and shes so comfy, and so am I!!

This is what concerns me--- I'm having twins also- can they both be on your back at the same time?  That's why I thought one in the front and one in the back... but I'm clueless here so who knows

BJorn isnt recommended. It's not even as comfy for the wearer as the rest. Ergo is fabulous. And on sale at target plus u get a gc. BBB coupon may exclude ergo, I dont remember.
As far as tandem wearing goes, one on front and one on back. Front baby faces boobies. Lol

Yes you can do double carries. I would look into soft structured carriers and or woven wraps. Go on you tube and search wearing 2 babies or double baby wearing. You can do it when they are older. I would start with a Moby as newborns and until 4 months old. The manual you get with it shows the twin carry.

Same here! DD had hip issues so I really regret ever having gotten the bjorn (it didn't cause her issues, just a waste of money). She's 20 pounds and I can carry her for a long time in the ergo and be totally comfortable.

Have the ergo for a out 2 weeks now and it's great I actually wore dd for about 4 hours walking around Boston this weekend and ne'er felt uncomfortable. She slept the whole time. After researching and looking I wnt with ergo. We went to store that carried most of their line and went with the performance one. It's the most expensive but they said its the most breathe able and not as hot.

I LOVE my Ergo. I have used it for all 3 kids and it still looks great. It never hurts my back and the kids all loved it. You can wear them on the front or back. I got mine for about $75 from babysteals.com. It was not the newest design but for half off I didn't care lol. I also have a ring sling, a wrap and a Bjorn. The Ergo is by far the best.

At Target I think its $119 plus you get a $20 gift card, so its really $100. Might still be a better deal at BBB though.
It has a weight limit of 40 lbs, so you can use it as a backpack carrier well into toddlerhood! My DD (almost 2) loves riding on DH's back!

I can't say enough wonderful things about the Ergo. We didn't know about it or get it until just March - for my 3.5 year old DS. We had plans to go to the St. Patty's Day parade in the city & I really didn't want to deal with a stroller...and him walking the entire time was not even an option.
I carried DS with the Ergo most of the day. He loves it...and so do I! I have a bad back & didn't have any troubles at all.
Oh - also, he's so comfy he falls asleep in it so easily when on my back.
