2nd birthday party - favors? help

I am planning DD's 2nd birthday. Its a family BBQ - At best there will be 7 kids - 3 babies and 4 big kids.

When I go to parties I dont expect a favor bag (and the 2 we've gotten seemed like a bit of a waste) and based on the people who are coming I can't think of anything uniform to do

3 toddler boys ages 11 months to 23 months

1 6 year old boy
1 8 year old boy
2 13 year old girls

If the consensus is I should do something - any suggestions on what to do? Its basically a pink themed party with Hello Kitty accents - which also doesn't go well with the 5 boys that will be there...

2nd birthday party - favors? help

i gave out little personalized boxes at DS's 1st birthday. that would work for everyone but the 13 year old girls and maybe the 8 year old. you could always do personalized water bottles or maybe a puzzle for the younger ones. a friend gave out personalized ice cream bowls and spoons at her sons 2nd birthday party.

my mom always used to personalize our birthday favors. she gave out plastic sun visors with names on it, maybe even a drawstring bag with their name on it. or maybe just chocolate lollipops for everyone. i made those for DS's 1st birthday as well.

2nd birthday party - favors? help

I gave out candy bars wrapped in fancy paper that matched their theme (zebras) for their 1st birthday. What went over really big though was that I used clear bags filled with candy as balloon weights and the older kids fought like crazy for them. I have about 40 people coming to their 2nd birthday BBQ party, mostly because all our friends and family have 4-5 people in them. So there will be at least 12 kids from age 2 to 14.

I am doing a backyard BBQ this year too and just plan to give the kids the balloon weight candy sacks this year. Maybe some water guns to play with during the party that they can take home too. None of the backyard parties we have gone to have we gotten goodie bags from. I think that is more for older kids. I think we can get away without doing it for 2 year olds.
