Potty Training Tips

I am potty trianing my 35 month old DS this weekend. Any tips or suggestions? Any helpful hints would be much appreciated. :)

Get rid of diapers completely. Are you using the three day method?

My advice: lots of patience, lots of cleaning products, lots of paper towels, and lots of wine!

I trained my 2 year old DD over the summer. We read potty books and watched the Potty DVD a couple of weeks before we started. I also bought her cute Dora and Minnie Mouse undies. She was very excited. Then i let her go "commando" with a long tshirt on and told her when she had to go pee pee she needed to use the potty which I left in whatever room she was at the time (playroom, living room, etc.). It was successful right away. Had a couple of accidents..maybe 3. She was just ready. I hear boys may be harder to train but if he's ready it will be fine. Good luck!

Straight to underwear, lots of praise, and a special treat just for when your child goes in the toilet. With my daughter we used mini m and ms and promised to buy her a big girl bed once she was fully potty trained. We also put her right in underwear. She had a few accidents but after a few days she was dry all the time.
