burping half way through

when did you stop? i remember i stopped burping DS altogether around 6 months but can't remember when I stopped burping half way through?

DD takes 5oz bottles and i burp her after 3 now but she FREAKS out. To the point that I can't even effectively burp her because she straightens out so that I cannot get her over my shoulder or in a seated position on my lap. She screams as if I am trying to murder her. She is fine as soon as I give the bottle back.

She has reflux so I am worried about not burping her. She is 12 weeks?

I never burped my DS part way through. but he did not have relfux or any issues.

I think it was by 4 months.

DH still does it. I stopped when she was about 3 months old

i stopped recently and shes been spitting up more so we went back to burping half way through (as much as she hates it)...

we will try again in a few weeks

we're still doing it, and DD will be four months this sunday. in fact, she's now taking 7oz bottles, so DH burps her 3x! (I only do it twice)

she no longer screams while being burped, so i guess she's sort of used to it. but i'm hoping to stop burping in general in about a month. it's the most annoying thing to do, especially when they don't burp!

I stopped around 12 weeks - DS is 17 weeks old... he spits up a tad but more sometimes - but its random. He too has reflux and is on Zantac.
He is just a nasty boy when you take the bottle out of his mouth...Our ped did say that after a few mins of burping if hes burped once or twice - thts enough. He will pass the gas some way when its ready... I still give the gas drops and occasionally give chamomile tea as well.

I stopped when DD was acting exactly like yours lol I figured she didn't want or need to burp if she was crying. DS on the other hand until he was like 5 months.

She always freaked out if we stopped halfway through. We added gas drops to help her and stopped midbottle burping probably around 3 months.

H did that too at about 3/4 mo. Ped said to stop burping and we did. She was fine. We dont burp either btwn now.

just gave her a bottle and didnt stop to burp, she did burp after. she did have a little spit up drool after but nothing abnormal for her we'll see how it goes the next few bottles!

I think i stopped about 5 months with the stopping in the middle. Around 6-7 months stopped all together she just burped on her own. She had reflux as well and screamed bloody murder when i took the bottle away too.

we still do this and ds is 4 and a half months

but he has reflux/constipation/belly issues
