FTWMs...when you are sick...
When you are sick and stay home from work, do you still send DC to daycare, or keep them home with you?

FTWMs...when you are sick...
I'm not able to send DS to daycare when I'm home from work because his daycare is at my job. But if I could, I absolutely would send him to daycare if I needed to get rest and he wasn't sick.

It depends on how sick I am, but for the most part, yes, I send DD to daycare. I'm no good to her sick, so the sooner I recover the better off it is for her.

DS goes to Daycare unless he is sick. Does not matter what I am doing home. I pay for it so I send him.

I've been sick home once since I have been parent. I could barely drop them off at school.

Keep them home. Daycare is by my job (about 45 minutes away from home) otherwise I'd sent them.

This hasn't happened to me, yet (knock on wood) BUT, if I were in this situation, I would send her to day care (if my DH didnt already have the day off)

If I am sick to the point that I cant make it to work, I definitely can't chase my ds around all day so I would still have him go to my inlaws.

well.. soon to be a daycare mom and I thought about this yesterday.. DH and I would take turns dropping her off.. so if it is my turn to take her and I'm sick, then I would keep her at home. I'd probably work from home too.. since its not really a sick day per say

ditto!! when DS was a baby i would feel bad sending him in while im home. yet now 3.5 years later i took off today and took him to daycare.  im having a me day and getting my nails done! like the PP said...i pay anyway and mommys are allowed a day of rest too!

Depends on how sick I am.
If I'm throwing up or cannot physically get out of bed, DS will go to daycare.
I stayed home last Friday because I had a terrible cold... he stayed home with me and we just layed lwo.

Same here! Plus, she loves going, so I would feel bad keeping her home.

If I'm sick DD goes to school. When she was little she would go to the sitter if I was sick.

Hasn't happened yet (thankfully), but she would go right to daycare. That's one of the reasons that I opted for one by our house instead of by my school
I have even sent her to daycare when I am off from work during school breaks. Not every day, but a day or two so that I can have lunch with a girlfriend, go shopping, etc.

Depends on why I am home. When my back was out, she got sent to my Mom's (she's my day care). But if I'm just sick then I usually keep her home. I did send her when I had a stomach bug...for a variety of reasons...but mostly didn't want her to catch it.

The best part about ds daycare being 1 mile away. He goes to daycare if I'm sick. No way I can take care of a toddler if I am really sick.
