little tikes "Cozy Truck" vs. Step2 "Whisper Ride"?

My dad wants to buy one of these for my son for Easter.

I'm torn between which one to ask him to get.

I like the truck, but it doesn't have a handle for pushing. Is it awkward for adults to push the roof of the truck?

The Whisper Ride is cool, too, but I tried one out in the store and it didn't seem to turn that easily. Plus, it doesn't look like it will grow with kids as well as the truck since the truck lets you take the floor out for them to ride "Flinstone" style.

Any feedback? Thanks!

First is good for younger kid...probably up to 15 months or so. It does not turn.

Second is more for independent play.

Maybe look into a Smart Trike instead? They have different features to grow w/ your child.

I don't know much about the first one... but DS will be 2.5 in May and LOVES LOVES his cozy coupe car- obviously, similar to the truck.
its nice bc like you said it can grow with the kids. DS "drives" it himself "Flintstone" style now.... and he pretty much doesn't get out of it LOL as long as we're home, hes in it. I can see him using it for probably another couple years- so we're definitely getting our money's worth! HAHA

We have the cozy truck. DS got it for his 1st bday. He now 21 months. He loves to ride in it and he likes to push it around the yard too.

It's not too awkward for an adult to push, but neither of us is very tall. Perhaps for someone very tall it might be uncomfortable.

Do you want to,take him on walks or for independent play?

How old is DS?

We have both and use the whisper ride more. We actually have the red push one (and ds does not fit in it anymore) but mil has the whisper ride and ds fits fine at almost 3 yrs old. He loves going for walks with us in it. We live near school parks and shopping so we got a lot of use out of it.

The cozy coop is cute and ds does love it but it took a while for him to be able to reach floor and push himself. So i would definitely see if your son will even reach or have strength to do that before purchasing . I dislike pushing it around it is annoying

We have the Step 2 buggy (very similar to the whisper buggy, just not as quiet) and the Cozy Truck. I hate the Cozy Truck, it was a waste of money. It is not easy to push and then when you take the floorboard out and your DS can push with his legs, my DS' feet would keep hitting the wheels making it virtually unusable.

This is the best! My niece used it and now my DS has been using it for 2 years. We didn't take the floor boards out because he still likes to be pushed around. Turns great, play music and has a lot of buttons. It is a bit loud but that's the only con I can think of. I know they sell it at buy buy baby http://www.kidlantis.com/toys/little-tikes-convertible-cozy-coupe/

I was considering this one, but I read a review that said it doesn't have a seat belt or doors.

Is that true and was it an issue for you?

little tikes

it doesn't have a seat belt but was never really an issue. the way they sit with their legs out makes getting out hard. There isn't a door but DS still gets in himself, I just hold it still. They can never get in the doors well enough anyway

The Cozy Truck will definitely last much longer.
