Milk Coming Out of Babies Nose
Hi my daughter is 1 week old today. Yesterday after eating we laid her down to change her, she started to choke on her spit up and some came out of her nose it was really scary.
Then today while nursing her, milk started coming out of her nose.
Has this ever happened to anyone else?
She doesn't spit up much or burp ever has just had these 2 incidents of milk coming out of her nose - is this normal?

Yes this happened with all of my children. After cutting out dairy and gluten, the reflux stopped.

This happened to my DD a few times during the first few weeks. I know it is scary, but it may very well resolve itself soon, it did for my DD. Also, keeping the baby upright after feeding helps. If you have to lay her down to change her right after a bottle, she prob will spit up, so just expect it. Also, you said she doesn't burp? Try to get a few burps out of her, it should help! Good luck and congrats!

I agree. DS is 10 wks and he still does this once in a while, but it has gotten a lot better. I try to keep him as still as possible after feeding.

This happened to both my twins. My doctor gave them Zantac it didn't seem to help a lot with the reflux. My DD grew out of it quicker then DS, they both outgrew it by 8 months. I found keeping them in the Rock in play sleeper helped after feedings.

my two week old has done this 3 times, all three times she didnt burp well.
also, ive started changing her before bottles since she screams during changes which has led to puke

lots of spit up out the nose!!! both twins did this. THey both ended up having reflux. Keeping them upright for 30 min after eating seemed to help.

My DD had this really bad. She had to go on Prevacid. Even now, at 6 y.o., whenever she has the the stomach flu and vomits it comes out her nose

Yes it happened to DD 2-3x and it was scary. She does not have reflux but just spits up a bunch and in the beginning it came out her nose too.
