Pocketbook Question
Does your bag HAVE to have a zipper or some sort of closure for you to feel safe?
I'm always very conscious of my bag. My 2 favorite bags DON'T have zippers or snaps. DH wants me to bring a zipper bag to AC, so I packed one up, but its so darn stiff, I hate it!
I really would rather bring one of my comfy faves, but he is being a worrywart.

I don;t need a zipper on top, but I like a zipper inside for my wallet and keys-- I usually don't zip it- but, when I am in a place or doing something that I feel like I need to- I can.

normally no i don't care
although i hate it when i have just a buckle that when it tips over everything will pretty much fall out
But if i am going to a place like AC...i would use one with a zipper

It depends on where I'm going and the situation- when I'm going to be in crowds (like when we go to the city) then it has to be one of my bags with a zipper. Though most of my bags have zippers and I am usually pretty alert.

I need a zipper, because I am always dropping my bag on the floor, throwing it in the car, it rolls arond in my desk drawer at work... if there was no zipper everything would fall out.

i like for at least one compartment to have a zipper. Usually I won't buy a bag unless it has this. I hate it when someone can see in.

Me too. DH is right. You don't want to be an easy target because there are thiefs that look for women with such bags.

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr, I hate it when he is right! 
My zipper bags...one is big and HEAVY, one is FUSCIA, and the one I packed up is so STIFF! Everytime I go to open it the darn handles whack me in the face!!! Guess I should have broken it in...

I don't need a zipper or snap. If it's open on top I just make sure that I pay attention in crowded areas.

YES that is a must for every bag I own! I am such a scatterbrain - I throw it, leave it on the floor, etc. I definitely need a zipper on ALL of my bags!

I prefer and will only wear bags with zippers. My issue with bags is that I dont like handles. I prefer ONE long shoulder strap so I can throw the bag over my shoulder when I go shopping an have my hands free. It isnt easy to find especially since I am tall and the straps are never long enough. The bags end up under my armpits,

I just bought a bag that only has a magnet closure, with open side pockets. I feel comfortable carrying, but your DH has a good point.
