Please share how you told your Mom...anything unique?
When I finally tell my Mom she will probably faint  so I was thinking of a unique way to make it special

Please share how you told your Mom...anything unique?
I put a photo copy of my 12 week sono on her fridge saying "coming in the Summer of 2013". Took about 10-15 min for someone to notice..lol.. this was on Christmas Eve when my Mom's house was bustling with people..it was pretty funny watching my family guess who was expecting.

Made a calendar with pictures of my parents and me and my brother through the years. Then put the first sono picture as the picture for the month I'm due. It was cute because it took like a min to figure it out because she initially thought it was her sono pic of me

I couldn't wait so I just called my mom at work and asked her how she would feel if I told her she was going to be a grandma. She didn't stop texting me the rest of the afternoon, she was so excited!

mine isn't really unique because a lot of people do it but I cannot believe I held on from telling my parents right away I found out I was pregnant the week after Thanksgiving and didn't tell my parents until xmas eve. I got an ornament that had a snowman couple with both our names and mine had a baby with arrow pointing down. When they opened they flipped and cried lol it was soo cute and emotional. It was amazing! and I am glad I held on til such a special day for us

Hahaha...my mom would have probably took longer to realize it was mine...I always told her I was waiting a while before having a baby and she always said "come on already" lol

That is what I want to do because I am so anxious to tell her but I thought about doing it in person because my mom would probably drive to Suffolk from queens and knock on my door within 15 minutes!! Lol

we told our mom right after our first appt so we had a cono pic but you couldnt see anything at 7 weeks. so i picked up a bib that said "#1 grandma" and gave it to her at dinner one night

Thanks.. forgot to add that there are 8 girls in my family..LOL.. yup and all were like "ahhh its NOT me" it was pretty funny. It was hard not to keep a straight face.

DD was the first grandchild. I got my parents a picture frame that said I love Grandma and Grandpa. I didn't have a sono pic to put in yet, so I printed up from the computer a picture of a stork and wrote "Baby _____, coming 1/1/11". I wrapped it up and gave it to them on a random visit. They were thinking it was going to be a wedding pic and were very (happily) surprised.

I actually told her the night I found out.. I went to the house and left the pregnancy test on the counter near the fridge and asked her for a drink .. she went past the fridge and saw it right away and screamed!!!!
I wish I thought about it harder because I would have put it around the dog collar and see if they would notice, lol!

For #1 we invited both sets of parents over for dinner and gave the grandmas a gift bag with a onesie inside that said "Baby _____, Coming in Feb. 2011" I secretly video taped it. I love watching it back even almost 3 years later.
This one we are announcing this weekend. We are inviting everyone over for dinner again and changing DC into a shirt that says Big____! and I'll have DC carrying the sono pic from our appointment last night. Again I'll tape it. I am sooo anxious this time!!

I bought t-shirts for them and told them they had to come up to our apt for their anniversary gifts (which was a week later but they were going away). My dad was beside himself and I had to pick her jaw up from the floor. My mom said she knew what I kept telling them to come upstairs to the apt.

I was thinking of wrapping a picture frame for my MIL cause she collects them....I can just imagine her face if I gave her something like that

WOW!! I love that idea!! I was going to invite my Mom to my MIL' s one weekend and tell them over dinner by giving them a copy of the sono pic'....but DH is like "let's do it but think of something else to give them too" he likes to be creative! Good luck and share with us their reactions!!

I am always giving my mom an envelope of pictures. So i took a picture of the stick and put it at the end of her copies and when she got to the last one, she starred at it foot a minute and finally figured it out.
