CIO - did anyone try it and have it not work? would you do it in my situation?

DD is 7 1/2 months. 6 months adjusted.
She has always slept in the rock n play at night and never slept more than 2 consecutive hours. When we try to put her in the crib she just cries. We've put her in awake, asleep, ddrowsy-nothing seems to work. Unfortunately every time she wakes up I feed her because her cries wake up older ds.

I am soooo tired and don't know what to do. I tried to let her cry in crib the other day and she cried for 45 minutes. I finally gave in and picked her up and put her to sleep in rocker.

Do you think it's too much change to put her in crib and do CIO?
If she does fall asleep should I feed her as usual if she wakes up? (She only drinks about 20oz of pumped breast milk before "bedtime") she drinks about 3 or 4 more times in the middle of night. Anywhere from half ounce to 2 and a half oz each time

My twins were born on time so no adjusted age. We did the CIO thing at 6 months & then wound up failing. I then started record keeping of every single day of time they woke up & napped, bed. I mean EVERYDAY. You may think that you remember but when you see it written down, it's amazing how a 1/2 hr can make a difference. I did this for 2 months. When I was ready to conquer again, it was of 8 months age. I then had better idea of nap time & they transitioned very quickly. Good luck.

How many oz do you give before the hopeful nightime sleep?

Honestly, I think you need to cut out some of those night-time feedings. 3-4 times a night to only drink 1/2-2oz is her drinking out of comfort, not need.

Personally, I would conquer that first.

ETA: It is hard to let them cry when you have older siblings in the house, but it has to be done. DD and DS shared a room and DD very quickly was able to sleep through his cries.

Have u spoken to ur ped about this? I would think she would be able to drink at least 5 or 6 oz at nighttime. Does she have reflux? 2 hours is just awful for everyone. She might be overtired and night eating for comfort kwim?

My girls were not ready to sleep train until they were 8 months adjusted.
Can you get your lo to take more at the night time feedings? We always did a dream feed at 1030 ish. They also never took more then 4oz of bm at a time.
